Our home could be described as the hidden gem in the crown as it is situated in a glorious part of Australia…the beautiful hinterland of the Sunshine Coast of Queensland. Located near Maleny, a friendly country village, the area possesses some of the most stunning natural beauty Australia has to offer. Perched high on the Blackall Range the region affords breathtaking views of the magnificent Glasshouse Mountains and miles of pristine coastline. Our local area is diverse offering a vast number of natural attractions along with superb cuisine, artisans, galleries and the beach just 30 minutes away. Local rainforest and unspoilt bush provides a popular destination for bush walking, picnicking, canoeing and exploring waterfalls and swimming holes. Check out (website hidden)
We have designed our home within a natural eco-system in a totally private and idyllic setting. You will wake to the sounds of unique fauna including whip birds, one of the most characteristic sounds of the Australian bush. Overlooking the Obi Obi creek with mini waterfalls and swimming holes our home is architecturally designed and comprises five pavilions situated on 2 acres of rolling green hills, parklands and lush bush.
The property has a number of charming surprises including a creek side sauna, a separate yoga Shala and even platypus in our swimming hole - this is a place for people seeking something different. You will not only have an opportunity to immerse yourself in something akin to the most enchanting resort, you will also have it all to yourself – this is an exchange that will offer absolute tranquillity and a little magic!
YOUR SPACE
You will have a part of a 5 pod family homestead with your own bedrooms, kitchen, lounge, playroom and bathroom areas (exclusive areas within the whole complex). We would also love you to share our Yoga /Meditation Shala and the outdoor Weber Bar-b-cue Decks and eating space..
Your Pod overlooks a glorious property bounded by the Obi Obi Creek, ringed by rainforest filled with birdsong. Upstairs is a luxurious king size bed whilst the spacious lounge room with comfy couch, massage chair, fireplace, TV and DVD Player downstairs also sleeps a couple of kids. It is adjoined by a serviceable kitchen, toilet and play room area with pool table ... Bathroom pod is a hop, step and jump through the garden. Sleeps 2 adults. (6 adults and 2 kids by arrangement)
Wander less than a hundred metres through the treed walk to a deep 50 metre long swimming hole .... and a sauna which we are happy to share with you with us present... clean basalt rock drops and the waterfall and rapids (no muddy creek bottoms!) Maybe you'll be brave enough to jump into the creek from the 10m high "Initiation Rock".
We have a yoga shala and complimentary classes four times a week. You're very welcome to join in. Massage is available by arrangement in the Shala. All in all, leave behind your cares and play with Pasha the cat....... gaze at the fish sliding through the three ponds ..... chuckle with the girls up in the chook house.
P.S. For the kids – Shadow has set up a Treasure Hunt on the property. If you look in the information folder you’ll find a map and a number of photos of hidden treasure around the property. Your job is to find as many as you can and tick them off on the list.
