Summary: Staying at Poggio ai Santi was a highlight of our Italy trip and and experience that will stay with me forever. The property is gorgeous - hedges of rosemary and lavender. Pine trees and agave and succulents. The air is fragrant and the green is everywhere. The main building holds the reception area as well as the breakfast room and dining room (restaurant Il Sale) and terrace. Further down the hill is the charming Sal8 bar where you can have an afternoon cocktail and snack or a late night cap. The rooms/suites are spread out around the property and are all very private. I cannot say enough about the staff. They are absolutely wonderful. The restaurant Il Sale was also one of our best dining experiences in Italy (and we had some incredible meals!) All the produce is grown on the property and meat is locally sourced. Absolutely fantastic. Our room was the Mare suite. The huge terrace has a stunning view of the Tuscan countryside - and the ocean! Everything about the room was perfect. Luxurious bathroom and extremely comfortable bed. All beautifully designed and appointed. I will be dreaming of Poggio ai Santi until we can go back!
