Our farmhouse is the perfect getaway from the hustle of city life into nature, with friendly fur animals free ranging everywhere on our 20-acres of animal lover heaven.. The farmhouse includes 2 bedrooms with queen beds, a large bathroom, living and dining with a kitchen that includes most ammenities (except oven). Enjoy the sounds of the Tarra valley while getting the barbie going on the deck, and you may even be lucky enough to catch site of our resident koala while we snoozes in the trees right infront. The Farmhouse is surrounded in trees which the koala loves so we don’t have TV reception, but there is a chrome cast to stream whatever you like!
During the winter months, get the fireplace going with a free basket of firewood. In spring and summer we do offer a basket for $25, with oil heaters available as a back up. Guests are welcome to bring their own firewood too! Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner and body wash) supplied along with fresh towels. An assortment of books and board games for your entertainment.
You can access Tarra River right out front of our property to take a dip on a hot day or relax and have a picnic. As we are close to the national park, the area is quiet making it a peaceful getaway from the city & into nature. Walking trails and Waterfalls are a short drive away through the picturesque Tarra Valley - a place where’s there’s more wildlife than people! We suggest bringing snacks, or food to cook with as the nearest option is the local town Yarram, 20-minutes away. Woodside beach and Port Albert are local beach towns, 30 mins away and guests have enjoyed a day trip to Wilson’s Prom which is just over an hour.
We are located on a 20- acre property with cows, sheep, goats, chickens and farm dogs Lilly and Fi (both maremmas). All our animals are super friendly…the goats are a little too friendly, and like to ambush guests thinking you’ve brought them treats! We sometimes foster calves on behalf of rescue organisations and we welcome guests to bottle feed with us. Follow us @wild_falls to meet the entire furr family. We’d be happy give you some feed to spoil them with, or to introduce you to them all and tell you abit about them. If animals are not your thing, feel free to ignore them and take in the wilderness!
We are in the midst of the national park so there’s no reception in our area, but we have satellite wifi which can be accessed in the guesthouse and around some parts of the farm. Bad weather can weaken the signal but overall, it works great. Nonetheless, get ready to swtich off and relax
