Welcome to The Blue Grape! Tucked away in the heart of Ontario’s wine country, we're a cozy cottage 1.5 hours from Toronto. Located on a quiet country road surrounded by wineries and orchards, you’ll feel right at home in our newly renovated space that features a hot tub, fully stocked kitchen, dining area, cozy living space, restful sleeping quarters, patio, and bikes. We’ve designed the space to make you feel welcome and help you create lasting memories.

KITCHEN - Start your day with morning coffee (hint: brew yourself a cup of deliciousness with the Nespresso!) as you overlook the fruit orchard from the back deck, or get cozy in the living room by the fireplace. A fully equipped kitchen with pots and pans, small appliances and utensils are awaiting the foodie’s arrival. The space is equipped with a dishwasher to make clean up a breeze. IMPORTANT NOTE: This house is on a fragile septic system - please take extreme care with anything that goes down the drains.
LIVING SPACE - Get cozy by the fireplace in the living room as you curl up with a plush blanket on the couch and all of your favourite streaming services at your fingertips (Netflix, Crave, Prime Video - what more could you need?!). Don't forget to take in the peaceful view out the large front windows.
DINING ROOM - Celebrating a birthday or just getting together with friends? Gather together around our spacious dining table to enjoy a meal together, or just to unwind with your favourite bottle of wine from a day full of vineyard tours!
BEDROOM - The Blue Grape features a luxurious primary bedroom designed for a rejuvenating sleep. The bedroom is equipped with Endy mattresses and luxury linens, as well as dressers and closets for your personal items. We have a pack-and-play ready for use, if you're travelling with a little one.
BATHROOM - Wash the day away in the spa-like bathroom, with brushed gold finishes and a rainforest shower head. Stocked with septic-safe shampoo, conditioner & body wash, additional toiletries and first aid kit are provided inside the linen closet. Towels are provided with compliments for bathroom use. IMPORTANT NOTE: This house is on a fragile septic system - please take extreme care with anything that goes down the toilet or drains. Small amounts of the toilet paper provided only!
BASEMENT - The competitive gamer's dream! Take on your friends in a foosball match, or get cozy on the bean bags and start a game of Catan or Jenga. Whichever is your style, our games room is fully equipped to make your stay a total blast.
GARAGE - Take advantage of our 4 city cruiser bicycles as you make your way around, visiting each one of the incredible stops in Niagara’s wine country (please ride responsibly!).
LAUNDRY - A washer and dryer is located in the basement for those who wish to do laundry during their stay.
SMART FEATURES - At The Blue Grape, we have several smart features to help you access the cottage easily and be comfortable during your stay. We have smart locks to make check in easy and convenient, super fast wifi, a Nest thermostat and a smart TV.
OUTDOOR AREAS - The back deck and backyard are here for your enjoyment! Kick back and relax on our comfy outdoor patio furniture, or take advantage of our enclosed fire pit in the yard. Dinner time? Fire up the BBQ! (just make sure to turn it off after you've finished)
We ask that you please keep the noise level to a minimum so that we can be courteous to our fantastic neighbours. Please take the patio cushions into the garage at night to avoid the rain.
ACCESS - The home is accessed by a well-maintained residential road right off the main road, and has private parking for 2 cars. Guests will access the cottage via smart lock with custom key code entry. The entire home and garage is for your use - please just lock the garage back up at night and before leaving (key is in the kitchen)
LOCATION - We’re a quick trip from Toronto (just over an hour drive!) and within 15 minutes, you can bike to Niagara Shores and many of Niagara’s favourite wineries including Wayne Gretzky Estates, Konzelman Estates, Strewn, Trius and many more. You’re also only a short trip to the centre of Niagara-on-the-Lake which features plenty of coffee shops, clothing stores and more.
ACTIVITIES - The Blue Grape is surrounded by things to do in both the summer and winter months.
In the summer, we recommend hopping on one of the bicycles provided and going on a tour of the wineries to taste the local wines. You can also walk 15 minutes up the road for a great view of Lake Ontario! For the history buff, book a tour at Fort George to learn more about Ontario’s rich history.
In the winter, we recommend heading into town and immersing yourself in the culture and history that Niagara-on-the-Lake has to offer. Head over to the Prince of Wales Hotel for a horse drawn carriage ride or book a fire pit at Peller Estates and enjoy their winter lounge experience with signature cocktails. For those who are looking to stay active, stop by Wayne Gretzky Estates and hit the ice rink (they provide skate rentals if you don’t have your own).
