Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The host "Petra" was exceptional, sharing her local knowledge and suggesting places to eat and visit. The Old bank is an interesting building and the King size bed we had was very comfortable. The property is centrally located, within walking distance of the fairy penguins and the NUT. The Nut didn’t have the chairlift in operation during our stay and its a significant steep height to get up there to enjoy the vistas from the summit. The Pub known for its excellent meals is just across the road, if you do not want a pub meal there is a great pizza restaurant just around the corner. The room we had enjoyed a big screen smart TV with all the usual apps including YouTube. By far the best experience was the interaction with the host, she is a true delight.

Negative: We were a bit confused being led from the front door through what felt like the family living room and kitchen area to reach our bedroom. It was not clear when we booked that we were sharing the building with the host and her family. It was more attuned to a bed and breakfast than a simple unit although lacking breakfast. We felt the experience could be better if there was a separate entrance or perhaps the unit occupied by Petra's son was rented out giving separation as we felt we were imposing on someone else’s living quarters.

Summary: A brilliant Place to stay centrally located to Stanleys attractions.
