We are situated in the middle of both the Clare & Barossa Valleys where there are plenty of things to see and do. Historic Auburn is only 10 mins from Saddleworth, or Burra, a 'Historic Copper Town and the Merino Capital of the World' 40 mins. Take a drive to Martindale Hall 25 mins. Within close proximity to Eudunda & Robertstown, The Lavender Federation Trail and Heysen Trail.
The Space:
This charming country cottage is self-contained, with no one to share with. There are two bedrooms comprising a queen size bed in main bedroom & two single beds in the second bedroom. Rollaway available upon request. Very large bathroom & separate toilet. Shower over bath with screen. Laundry has a large washing machine. Fabulous modern kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, oven & hotplate. Full size fridge & loads of bench space & cupboards. Large lounge with combustion heater. Spacious area to relax and enjoy a wine from the local Clare Valley Wineries. Relax under the vine covered pergola.
Guest Access:
The property is self-contained with no others to share with. Breakfast is available on request. Key is accessed by key safe, you will be notified of the code before your arrival.
The Neighborhood:
In Saddleworth, we have our wonderful Museum, Saddleworth Country Market which is held on the 1st Sunday of each month. There are also regular weekly country markets in Auburn, and Clare. In Saddleworth, we have the Gilbert Valley Hotel, for the best home cooked meals. Antique Shop & a walking trail for those who would like to discover the history of Saddleworth.
The Valley Edge cafe is new and comes recommended for takeaways and pizza is popular on a Friday night and of course coffee.
At this point in time it is not open on weekends.
Unfortunately we do not have a supermarket for groceries for a long stay, however there is an IGA 15 minutes south of Saddleworth at Riverton, or 10 minutes to Auburn IGA. Woolworths and Foodland is in Clare 30 minutes away.
Getting Around:
There is a taxi service available. Wine Tours of the local wineries are available, 48 hours notice is required.
