Welcome to our Lake McKenzie oasis!
Our property is serene and private on 1.5 acres on a large quiet Lake. The lake is a gradually shallow, clear, sand bottom and perfect for swimming, fishing, and water activities. Enjoy a large float mat, double kayak, and canoe.
In the winter months enjoy some of the best OFSC (snowmobiling) trails, snowshoeing, ice-fishing and cross-country skiing.
The space
We are on a very private lake of about 60 other cottages. The property is on 1.5 acres of land and surrounded by crown land. We are also a stone's throw away from the beautiful Algonquin Park.
Our cottage is approximately 1000 sq ft. With an open living/dining and kitchen area with big windows to gaze at the water and trees. Each bedroom is spacious and relaxing. The bathroom has a stand-up shower and single vanity.
We have a beautiful patio overlooking the lake with a dining set and barbecue. Next to the property is a wide fit pit area.
The Lake has a shallow, firm, clear sand bottom that gradually gets very deep and is excellent for fishing, swimming and water activities. We have a dock with steps that lead into the shallow area of the water. We have floaties, canoe and life jackets.
In the winter months, you can take advantage of the snowmobiling trails that run right through the area. You can also enjoy ice fishing, skiing and snowshoeing in the area.
Guest access
The roads in are very well maintained and wide. You will not have a problem accessing the property in any vehicle. There is plenty of parking on our property.
Feel free to explore our property and walk the cottage roads. We highly recommend making a trip to Algonquin Park to see some beautiful trails, wildlife, and rapids.
Local towns, Maynooth and Whitney have a number of great local shops, bakeries, LCBO and groceries. If you're looking for department stores we recommend stopping in Bancroft.
