SWAINE HOUSE was constructed in the classic Adelaide villa style, with freestone facing and wrought-iron lacework detailing on the verandah. The house was extensively renovated and extended over the course of 2014 and 2015, the family bathroom was remodelled and a walk-in robe and ensuite were added to the master bedroom. The original features of the property were retained, including plaster detailing on the ceilings and the original skirting boards. An open-plan kitchen, dining, living and outdoor area was constructed to the rear of the original dwelling, with a ceiling height that reflects the proportions of the original structure.
