North Stradbroke Island or “Straddie” as it is affectionately known, is just a short ferry ride from Brisbane, Queensland. Prepare to be transported to one of the best kept secrets in Australia, home to some of the best beaches with pristine stretches of fine white sand and sparkling waters.
There is no better way to discover this magnificent Island than a stay in your own private Villa. Straddies gorgeous Home Beach is just 200 steps away and the melaleuca lined pathway will lure you to turquoise waters and days of sun and relaxation
Sand Bark Villa is situated in exclusive Villa section of the architecturally-designed Allure resort. Nestled in the foothills of Point Lookout, the resort offers a heated swimming pool, a small gym and an onsite Café. Surrounded by native gardens, the Villa is self-contained and the epitome of casual beach luxury. Boasting three bedrooms and three bathrooms the villa is ideally suited to three couples or two couples with children over 8.
The upstairs secluded master bedroom affords an opulent king-size bed and a second story view over the “Back Row” bushland. The modern bathroom offers the choice of a shower or a bath, the only Villa in the resort with this available.
For maximum privacy, the second bedroom leads off the central decked area and houses a queen size bed and a small ensuite bathroom.
The third bedroom containing a bunk bed, single bed and pull out trundle is light, airy and is located in the main building space of the Villa.
A hot and cold outdoor shower is ideal for washing off the days sand or a night time cleanse under the stars.
Offering two dining spaces, the outdoor kitchen complete with flat plate BBQ, full height fridge, coffee machine and ice maker will be a favourite gathering place. For colder weather or more formal dining, the inside area is next to the main kitchen furnishing an induction cooktop, microwave and all the usual mod cons. The back deck is ideal for a casual glass of champagne whilst viewing the resident wildlife.
Straddie is well known for its pristine surf beaches, freshwater lakes, spectacular coastal gorges and rich Indigenous culture. An amazing variety of activities are available: swimming and surfing at the beautiful beaches, scuba diving ,walks along the cliff top trails at Point Lookout, exploring freshwater lakes, fishing, whale and dolphin watching, eco-tours, Indigenous cultural tours, and of course, relaxing.
Points to Note:
North Stradbroke Island is only accessible by car or passenger ferry. If you are travelling by car, we suggest you book your ferry passages early to ensure the best times. This is particularly important for long weekends and holiday periods.
The Resort has a strict ‘No Pre-Schoolies or Schoolies’ Policy. All minors must be accompanied by a parent or a legal guardian who must be present for the duration of the stay. Failure to comply with this policy results in immediate eviction.
The Villa is not suitable for children under 8 due to the configuration of the bedrooms.
