Travel Purpose: business

Positive: Very grateful to be able to book after our previously booked accommodation cancelled at short notice. Unbeatable location, just a few doors down from Broulee beach and easy walking distance even for a toddler desperate to swim in the nearby river mouth. The property is perfect for children and dogs. We loved the basket of toys and books, it was a really nice touch. Our toddler also loved the mini bath at the bottom of the shower and has never been so clean. The expansive yard is ideal for small to medium-sized dogs and our working breed dogs were securely contained and didn't once try to escape. During high summer there are lots of food and bar options within walking or short driving distance including nearby food trucks, cafes, breweries and supermarkets. I recommend spending time enjoying the sea breeze and sound of crashing waves by sitting in the shade at the table downstairs. Steph was very helpful and responsive and the neighbours next door were very friendly.

Negative: The house is very rustic with no WiFi or aircon and quite basic, vintage amenities with limited powerpoints. The aircon wasn't too much of an issue as long as you plug in the fans provided and manage the windows to maximise the sea breeze, but might be uncomfortable on very hot or very cold days. While the TV has streaming apps installed (as well as local channels with patchy reception), they won't work without your own mobile WiFi hotspot (also patchy reception) and a bit of tinkering.

Summary: Exceptional location, perfect for kids and dogs, expect a rustic experience
