Located right on the waterfront in one of South Australia's most beautiful riverside towns, only one hour's drive from Adelaide. This beautiful home is an ideal relaxing weekend getaway for couples and families alike. Lagoon View Lodge is a bird watchers paradise, with uninterrupted views across Dunn's Lagoon to Lake Alexandrina and beyond.
The Lodge offers accommodation on two levels, with separate access to the upper level via external stairs. Upstairs comprises two bedrooms (1 with Queen bed, 1 with two single beds), a bathroom , open plan kitchen, dining and living area and a beautiful balcony with large table and chairs. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans and there is a reverse cycle air conditioner on this level. Downstairs comprises an open plan studio with Queen bed, Single Bunks, a bathroom/laundry and living area. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY IS 4 PEOPLE.
The living area has two sofas, armchair, High Definition TV and Dvd Player and Digital Radio. Books, puzzles and DVDs are provided for your entertainment.
The kitchen provides all the mod cons you need for a comfortable stay - SMEG dishwasher, De Longhi Nespresso coffee machine (pods included), Electric Oven and Stove, Fridge Freezer, Soda Stream. All crockery, utensils and tea towels are provided.
The local boat ramp and jetty is nearby and there is small jetty on Dunns Lagoon which is perfect for small boats and kayaks. Lagoon View Lodge is located directly on the Clayton Bay walking trail which incorporates cliff tops, wetlands and a variety of birdlife, flora and fauna. Echidnas are regularly seen when walking this beautiful and accessible trail.
Sails Cafe is a five minute walk away, providing breakfast and lunch everyday and dinner on weekends. There is live music on Saturday evenings.
The historic town of Milang is less than ten minutes drive from Clatyon Bay, where there is a general store and bakery.
Strathalbyn is a 20 minute drive via Nine Mile Road, with many cafes, shops and a large supermarket.
Goolwa, Currency Creek and Langhorne Creek (wineries) are all within 30 minutes drive.
