Summary: We have stayed at the Old Mill probably 10 or more times and stayed in a lot of their rooms. We had room 203 upstairs in the hotel. The Staff, meals, poker room, service was all great as usual but very very disappointed in our room. It was very tiny, ridiculously musty and pillow Smokey. No extra pillows, the tissue box had 3 tissues, the soap holder hadn’t been wiped down and coffee sachets etc hadn’t been topped up. The bedhead had unscrewed from the wall and was just dangling. Cupboard wasn’t near bed and couldn’t move it so had to put the one chair next to bed for the sleep apnia machine. Only one power point that was very hard to get to and lucky I had bought my power board with extension lead. The old Mill is a great venue in a great spot with fabulous parking but rooms absolutely need upgrading. I will make sure we never have this room again. The other upstairs rooms are larger and way better. I DID ASK WHEN I BOOKED THROUGHT HOTELS,COM IF I COULD GET AN UPGRADE IF AVAILABLE. They have another room upstairs with a spa in it which is a lot better and very roomy. We will stay again as love the venue and Satff are always lovely
