Summary: I had read reviews, but had no idea of the questionable neighborhood. There were homeless camps nearby, and homeless people asked for money outside the front door. I thought that due to the proximity to the Financial district, we would have a decent place to stay. Part of the neon on the sign on the hotel was burned out. There were no amenities. Luckily, we were able-bodied because we hauled out suitcases up three flights of stairs. There was a very questionable night club on the main floor. Police sirens were constantly going by outside. I barely slept, worrying that our room would be broken into.

Summary: This place is as simple as simple gets and something of a step back in time to when private eyes needed a quick place to set up shop to snoop on a potential cheating spouse below deck (the gentleman's club downstairs). I'm here for it...but only as a solo traveler. It is not necessarily a place where couples would normally consider, unless you are looking for affordable, offbeat fun. I thought it was pretty great myself, and it's not far from major tourist destinations. Of note: It's a lot of stairs going up to checkout. Pack light!

Summary: The rooms are absolutely as basic as is possible. No shampoo or body wash. If you want to iron a shirt then you have to do it in the laundry room without anywhere to place the small ironing board apart from maybe on the floor. Beware that this hotel is above a gentlemen's club. I use this term because I don't think other terms are permitted in reviews here.
The surrounding area a terrible and not somewhere that everyone would feel entirely safe.
Would I stay here again? No I would not.

Summary: Booked in a year out as it was a busy weekend of concerts and other events in the city. Was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Only thing missing was a fridge which wasn't a big deal. Worth it for the price. Close walking distance to almost everything.

Summary: The hotel is in a great location. It is above a strip club but it didn’t bother us at all - no noise in our room.
The two bed suite was spacious. Air conditioner was noisy but we were grateful for it.
The hot water is good but you have to wait a while for it - we were on the 3rd floor.
No elevator.
10 min walk to the Eaton Centre, 15-20 to St Lawrence Market.

Summary: The area is not upsale to say the least. So many people in DT area till late so relatively safe. The front desk in and check out were great. Ask for 2nd floor and up as Club on lower level. I found the room worth the price.
