You will have no shortage of activities, with an incredible backyard that includes a BBQ, deck with a dining table (with screens to protect against any bugs), a fire pit to enjoy those summer nights and a great living room with a Smart TV for a late-night movie.

Looking to get away from the cottage for some fun in the sun? Knights Beach Resort (2-minute drive away) has a beautiful sandy beach that stretches over half a mile and a picnic area to enjoy a family lunch! Selkirk Provincial Park (20-minute drive) also has a beach. Byng Island Conservation Area (10-minute drive) offers visitors a chance to explore the Grand River and Lake Erie and you can even escape from the heat with the largest outdoor swimming pool in Canada! Kayaks and canoe rentals can be found at Grand River Marina which is right in Dunnville near the bridge over the Grand River (10-minute drive).

Waterfront While the cottage does not have waterfront access, you will have no shortage of options with Knights Beach Resort (2 minute drive), Selkirk Conservation Area which also has a great beach (10 minute drive) and Byng Island Conservation Area (10 minute drive).
Trivia The Talbot Trail, which passes just to the north of the cottage, is an historically significant overland route completed in the 1820s along the north shore of Lake Erie. The building of the route of almost 500 km (310 mi) in length was overseen by Colonel Thomas Talbot. It was originally a corduroy road, eventually becoming Highway 3 and several numbered county roads. Its original intent was to provide a continuous land route for settlers and military personnel between the Niagara River at Fort Erie and the Detroit River, thereby aiding in the development of the Talbot Settlement.
